Good point, and I remember how well Gooch batted in his late thirties. Trott though presents a risk. Is he still that good that we should go back to him?

Don't know ginger- are England that good they can afford to leave him out of the mix? Anyway, like so many aspects of life - it's a risk business.
Bell, Hales, Ali, Taylor, Ballance - and that's just choosing the top 3 in ODIs - all present a risk of some sort.
