Think it depends on run rate and number of wickets lost. Those possible three lost batting points could prove crucial at the end of the season.

It's not just the three (or however many) batting points. It's potentially also the five draw points. Conceding a first innings lead, and potentially having a longer time to bat on day four, would open up the possibility of us losing.
I think it's very much a case of assess things at lunch. And that would possibly include the situation of the Worcs game. If Worcs have been skittled out by then, and Derby are 40-0, then that may play a small part in our thinking.
