Fair enough.

New ball in nine overs. Hopefully won't need it. The game is nearing a zone where resistance will inch the game out of Yorks grasp.

Never really bowled much ever. Id be surprised if he has ever had much more than one wicket per match for a county season.

I noticed he didn't bowl in the 50over or T20s either, wondered if he was carrying an injury or focusing purely on batting.

The latter. In fact, the less he has bowled the better he has got with the bat. Around 3-4 years ago I think they made a decision to really have him focus on batting, and it has paid off.

He is verging on terrible in T20's with the ball, his lengths are too hittable. In OD cricket he is better, but he is also the best OD batter we have, so he is left to concentrate on that.

Yorkshire would have to play rather badly not to win this.

If only a certain Yorkshire all rounder was actually serving a ban for cheating, we might have stood a chance. It seems that wasn't to be, he was simply asked not to cheat again.

Let that be a lesson kids... chuck all you want, if you get found out, you can still play next match.

A bit like Kirtley did, I suppose. How long was we chucking for Sussex?

Another wicket for Bresnan, proving to be a valuable player this season.

Check the 2006 county season and tell me how much he played at the start? You will find he didn't come in to the side until half way, despite being an international bowler who was fit.

The reason? The ECB suspended him.

His action was cleared in Feb/March before the season.

Yorks need about a hundred in a session. Must be in with a chance here.

Fine win by Warwickshire which keeps them in the race, good to see Chopra has shown some form with a welcome century in the second innings. Trott making one of those boundary catches, where he knocked the ball up before stepping over the boundary rope and steps back to make the catch, they're becoming a common sight these days.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

So what? How long was Kirtley allowed to chuck before they finally got wise to him? A bit longer than Williamson has for Yorkshire.

Yorkshire closing in on victory. Currently listening to commentary from Radio Leeds with a rather depressed sounding person in the background broadcasting on Retirement Radio for all the listeners in Sussex.

More likely depressed because he is in Scarborough...

No, being there probably lightened his mood.
