The boundaries were as small as anything that day too. From memory, Napier also made a big, quick score there in recent times. It doesn't surprise me to see over 700 runs scored in two days.
My fear for the rest of the match isn't Kent messing up their 2nd innings (although clearly that could happen), it's instead Kent trying to force a result by declaring early and giving Surrey to chase. Because at Guildford, I'd expect Surrey to then chase down what they're set.
