Swann was very good but I think that's debatable. I'd put Underwood marginally ahead of Swann. A mark of Underwood's ability was that he took 156 of his 297 wickets overseas - despite his 'sticky dog' reputation - he could bowl successfully in any conditions.
Shouldn't think Swann needed much coaching though - seemed very much his own man. Very hard to replace, certainly at the moment.

That's why I said attacking. I took out the word debatable, because it's pretty clear cut. Swann's strike rate is in a different league. I'm happy to accept Deadly was the better spinner, though I think it's a matter of taste to some extent.
