India and Sri Lanka are warming up against county opposition before facing England, whilst the Lions are playing a triangular limited overs tournament with New Zealand "A" and Sri Lanka "A" in August during the 50 over cup, a good move.

Prior up unto Aukland was a lot more than the best of a bad bunch. If in the form he was to that point, then he's not only a must pick, he's a star player in the team, and perhaps our best batter who also keeps ever. As well as a reliable keeper. If he's not that player anymore, then we need to look at alternatives. Given the player he's been, we should give him more time.

Given the player he's been, Prior's been darned lucky to have been selected so many times. How he can be regarded as a "proper" batsman with his career long single approach to all situations batting style is a mystery to me. That would be OK if he was a good keeper, but he simply isn't.
