Prior to this I am going to swap Blackwell for Yardy (top ranked unallocated AR) and Harbajhan for LJ Fletcher (randomly picked from the £40K bowlers.) Details to follow.
All these random lotteries and then more random allocations mean that it all seems far too random to me now, not enough about skill of selection. The fact is that you have no say in who is in 60-70% of your squad, and then there is the added complication of whether you are unlucky enough to have drawn players who are away on IPL duty or likely to be on international duty without having any choice in the matter.
If we adopt this approach in future perhaps it would be best to just allocate all the money and have players bid for their whole squad as happens in the IPL. This current approach also places a lot of pressure on the organiser as there are bound to be people unhappy with their allocations and all this randomness is almost guaranteed to cause suspicion of manipulation sooner or later.
Potentially excellent concept and appreciate all the effort though Ian

Thanks for the feedback RD
I am already thinking ahead to next year, and one thing I knew almost immediately was that I hadn't given enough money for the initial auction

I'd calculated the average valuation of most squads was going to be between £1.25M - £1.30M, so should have allowed most of that for the auction, meaning the majority of players in most squads would have been chosen rather than allocated.
Live and learn, I guess

Sports broadcasting media nut miscast as a hard-working family man. Or should that be the other way around?
