Looked at another way, would you play Bell at 3 in ODIs?
I wouldn't have him near the team. Doesn't get runs, doesn't score quickly and only 1 90+ score in over 100 innings!HarryPotter wrote:I bet in 2 years he is still the best batsman in India so if fit and wants to why wouldn't he be picked?

Yes, but it shows he is still seeing the ball. Essentially, he may have to play a different game, but he is doing the same thing, hitting the ball with the same bit of wood.

This is sad but true. Once, the IPL comes around, no one will remember the Test thrashings as they will all be focusing on T20.

Brilliant article this.
How did this happen that Indian test cricketers have lost their will to fight? We know that last summer in England was the beginning of a rather unexpected rapid decline. But, what are the reasons for their lack of will to fight? Their behaviour mimics that a mouse that has been given repeated electric shocks and it no longer even bothers to escape.

I don't know.
But as I said before: http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/new ... 508511.cms
It's in BCCI's interests to sort this out...
