Us having to score some runs hadn't occurred to me. I just assumed that if we bowled them out today, that would be the game

Sunshine and showers tomorrow afternoon, so there has to be a fair chance of getting out there tomorrow as long as we can keep the covers and tarps intact.

I don't understand why the umpires just didn't bother intervening. It's going to take 2 or 3 balls at the most so why not just get it done and dusted. I'm sure Alex Lees would have told them he was more than happy to face the pace bowlers.

Had there not been a brief shower at 8am, I reckon this match would be over about now.

As it is, the sun is trying to come out, there was no overnight rain and the light shower didn’t last very long

I assumed our signing of Agarwal meant that Bedders was off. Not so. he's batting at Wantage Rd and has just brought up his 1000 runs for the season

129-3. We've been on and off all day with the rain, but this time it's for bad light. We won the toss and chose to bat, which given the conditions (31 overs all day) seems odd. Hopefully we have a plan and not just another case of Alex Lees toss tourettes

I can only think that he didn't want to bat last so is assuming the pitch will deteriorate. Conditions look better tomorrow so hopefully we can make a good score
Msybe the cunning plan was to assume that there wouldn't be enough play today for us to collapse!
But if it goes wrong that toss decision will come under scrutiny because I too was surprised he didn't bowl.

the collapse came today. Only our OS players managed some runs. 205

conditions are presumably tricky because we opened with Potts and Parky and both have an early wicket. I'm watching for that bloody Vasconcelos wicket to fall. He was a bugger up here after we dropped him early in his innings

Am out in Newcastle. 5 down now but the lead is under 50. If they get any half decent lead it will be a big problem.

the women have lost heavily to Hants today. That's 3 defeats in a row since the resumption of the one day cup

Their form has tailed off which is a shame.
Think we are in trouble - low scoring game ( so far!) so it's going to be tricky in the third innings.
The batting hasn't really fired as a unit, we've managed to keep winning despite that so far but these collapses are bound to cost us at some stage.
Run outs don't help!

Could have done without those late wickets but it's a low scoring game so - in theory- it could still go either way. Hopefully the long batting lineup will get the lead beyond 200..I see Rhodes was rub out again!
