There now seems to be a suggestion that Ackermann won't be allowed to bowl! There must be some restriction on the replacement - otherwise it seems like a ridiculous substitution.
Unless he gets a hundred in the 4th innings!

We managed to secure a 4th batting point, so really well done to Robbo and Parky, and indeed all the lower order, because we looked nowhere near reaching 400 when Stokes and Rhodes got out.

As long as we don't do anything daft, and I never rule it out, Northants won't have gained a point on us from this encounter and they were miles ahead of us at lunch yesterday

Proctor out and Miller in for Northants

Proctor was half way through his second over, when either Stokes or Rhodes smacked one straight back along the ground at him for 4, but he tried to stop it and hurt his hand. Physio came on and he got through that over and he stayed on the pitch all day, but he didn't bowl again.

My first thought was that perhaps he'd dislocated a finger, but I doubt he'd have stayed on the pitch let alone finish the over if that was the case.

Maybe he had an x ray last night and discovered a fracture? Just guessing

Yes, another vital lower order contribution and good to see Robinson rediscover his form.
We certainly shouldn't be taking any risks, doubt Northants will take any too. A few early wickets and we could even be looking at a repeat of the Lancs result- although no Gay this time.

Me too. 206 lead with 5 wickets in hand - and plenty 9f time remaining. Think Northants chance to win is if they are bowled out with enough time remaining for a result. I was almost hoping they'd bat us out of it so there was no chance of a 4th innings debacle! They may still do that. 17 overs to go.

without all the extra runs scored by Vasconcelos, we'd be looking to finish this match off about now

as it is we might feel that a run chase is on tomorrow and gift wickets away again early on and end up on the back foot. I'd still take a draw at this point in time
