Luckily it relented and the last 2 didn't last long.
We needed a comprehensive win and got it. Were in total control since Bancroft won the toss.
Aldridge definitely looks like an excellent signing.
Tougher tasks ahead but we'll worry about that later.

the difference is that BR has bowled more overs than KR but conceded 100 runs less

Parky made a big difference today.... it's a simple game really. Not sure why we complicate it, tbh. He probably won't feature v Lancs in 2 weeks time and we'll revert to a seam only attack

only MP conceded a wide in that last innings, yet we conceded 5 wides in total. I can only conclude that it hit a helmet or something. If a wide goes all the way to the boundary is that 5 wides or 4?

I see that Coggers took 4 wickets in Derbys first innings and has added very useful runs in both of Lancs innings

I'm pleased it's worked out for him, but I'm equally pleased that he isn't here any more

Yes, that attack should definitely be our first choice for the foreseeable future for me. Potts seems to have rediscovered his form, Raine - class county operator as always, Roach - a bit loose but taking wickets, Aldridge making a good start and wickets for Parky. Happy days! With our batting line up (whether it fires or not), there's no excuse for not playing a spinner.
