First Perry (who's done little this tournament), then Gardner, now Sutherland. How do Australia keep producing these world beating all-rounders?

Bates, who has barely had any batting time, has not been bowling until today. Today NZ bring her on in desperation, and she takes the wicket of Mandhana in her 3rd over, then gets taken out of the attack in favour of Devine (who gets a flogging), is brought back on to see a catch dropped and then 2 balls later has an appeal for a catch behind turned down, beseeches Devine to review to no avail only for ultra edge to later confirm that the ball came off the glove. She could have had 3 wickets. Why has she not been bowling in this tournament? her scores for me might have been very different and NZ's comp might not be on the knife edge that it is.

I mean I haven't picked Bates for anything in recent years, so really I'm paying the price for a bit of sentimentality after watching her play for Durham this year
