Anyone see the Bayern Leverkusen score last night? Ten hag first game in charge they lost 5-0 to flamengo under 20's

Makes me chuckle that this is seemingly the most reported story in world football at the minute, but lets not let the truth ruin the story. Leverkusen fielded almost an entire side of under-18 players also, with the one outfield player in their senior squad coming off almost straight away. And the game wasn't even a scheduled friendly, but an ad-hoc match arranged after an open training session, and played on the training pitch the teams shared all week. When Leverkusen threw on a few first team players in the last 30 minutes, the score was 1-0 Leverkusen in that period.

Don't mean to be a prat by pointing out the error, but I did read recently that after Atletico Madrid, Leverkusen is the team name in football the most fans (And the majority) spell wrongly..... The name is "Bayer" Leverkusen not "Bayern". Bayern designates something is from Bavaria in German, hence Bayern Munich just means Munich of Bavaria. Leverkusen is in North-Rhine Westphalia.

"Bayer" is the giant multinational pharmaceutical company that originated from Leverkusen, and who's factory side ended up giving birth to the club. Somewhat confusingly people from Bavaria are also refer to as "Bayer"......

Either way, I can confirm without doubt Leverkusen is the most depressing place you could ever hope to find yourself in.

Had your Geordie boys here last week, Footman. 4-0 battering as expected for Union, but it was a fun day on the Bourse soaking up the atmosphere with the away fans.... zero trouble, everyone well behaved and in good spirits. A credit to the city...
