probably just as well that Hants reply was shortened to 6 overs, after we only posted 119 in 20. We did well to restrict them to 33 in 6 overs, but I doubt we could have maintained that to restrict them to 118 in 20. Grace Thompson did well to only concede 8 runs from 2 overs in a 6 over chase

we only managed 8 boundaries in 20 overs, which is a concern, I think

Bates top scored, but was out stumped again. That happened the other day too. I wonder if it was off another leg side wide?

I imagine I'll go down on Wednesday afternoon, but that depends on work. It might have to be the men on the evening

Interesting the way Worcs are using Ben Dwarshuis. They bring him in to bat anywhere from 5 to 7 depending on how the wickets fall early on and it works for them.... 91 runs in 56 balls faced in his first 4 games. We batted him at 10 or 11 IIRC and in 8 matches for us he faced 39 balls. Clearly Worcs saw something in him that we didn't. Why am I not surprised?

Yes, think the rain was timed perfectly - held off just long enough for it not to be a no result and arrived just in time before another over was bowled.

also interesting that in a one sided international victory for England the only bowler to have expensive figures was Lauren Filer..... says it all really

I didn't realise that Hants were up with the DLS target after 5 overs and only needed 5 runs in the 6th over to secure the win, but were restricted to 3 by GT

easy to forget how young she is.... only turned 18 last week, but she has arguably been our most impressive bowler throughout the season. She's certainly impressed me. Taken a few catches in the deep too. Stats show that she is our most economical seam bowler

well, we chose to bat first against Surrey women at the oval and managed to post 141-5

second half may not be going very well. Surrey are 92-0 after 8 overs and pretty much everyone of our bowlers is going around the park. econs of 14, 15, 16 etc

this is going to be over in 13 or 14 overs

although we have just bought a wicket, much good may it do us. It might just make the Surrey batters cross

We seem to be struggling with the bat in these games. Got lucky yesterday with the rain but we made a hash of chasing a modest looking target at home and then failed to post a challenging score in these weekend games.

I think the men must be giving them advice on the best way to go about things..... and why not? They've got 20 years experience of getting bogged down batting, bowling like drains, panicking and generally screwing it up

162 posted by the women thanks to 85 from Villiers. Imkings started disastrously and only 3 from the last over but a couple of good middle order partnerships - something we have struggled with in earlier games.

Looks short again. Bears dominating the power play helped by some erratic bowling and fielding!
