well, they needed it because Carse went for 63 off his 4 overs. Almost as many as Wood and Dawson off their 8 overs

I'm happy for Carse to play Tests and ODI's, but he shouldn't be anywhere near the T20 side. I don't even want him playing T20 for Durham... we just don't have enough runs in the batting line up to compensate for those he gives away

I'm happy for Carse to play Tests and ODI's, but he shouldn't be anywhere near the T20 side.

Carse is statistically the worst ODI bowler from a test playing nation to ever grace the format in its history (and 2nd if you include all associate nations) , so he should be absolutely nowhere near the ODI side as well.

Gives away an average of 66 runs a game - which is frankly pathetic.

Encouraging start for Brook as captain. The West Indies aren't at all a very good 50 overs team, so it would have been worrying to have lost that series - by they are certainly no slouches in 20 over cricket, so the 3-0 whitewash is a very good effort.

Hopefully we can finally start to build some momentum from this, although I still think England could do well to consider a few changes to the squad (Carse as mentioned should not be in the LO teams).

I console myself with the knowledge that if carse is playing T20 for England, then he isn't playing T20 for Durham
