I'm trying to work out the best way to sell these double header fixtures

I'm not sure that "roll up, roll up, watch your team get beat twice in the same day" is going to cut it

Was a good game, Jimmy the difference and must admit it was great to see him play.
Still don't understand why we keep going for the big shots on such a big outfield because it invariably leads to picking out the boundary fielder.
Raine has played a couple of handy innings up the order but Neesham should be in ahead of him.
Women fell apart after an excellent opening partnership.

Northern should probably have a bus stop on the edge of the outfield to help with the inevitable procession. It seems unfair to make them all walk all the way out and all the way back in under 2 mins

Interesting bowling at Grace Road. 5 wickets for Raine, 2 for Foulkes and their 8 overs cost 51 runs...and Leicestershire still made 193!

the chase ended up beoing a lot closer than Leics would have expected after they reduced us to 94-6 after 12 overs. We lost by 6 runs and one big hit in the last couple of balls might have seen us home, but the run out of Rhodes fettled that notion. We got bogged down by the looks of the scorecard, which is something we do a lot. Lees, Raine, Robbo and Neesham *modded* about taking almost 8 overs out of the game to score 43 runs between them and we were only a couple of boundaries away from chasing down a big total

as you point out Foulkes and the inestimable Ben Raine took 7 wickets for 51 runs, but we always manage to find someone who goes around the park in pretty much every game.

Yes, a lot closer than it looked like being but the old failings still on display. Almost as if there are again too many bowling options so there's no clear plan.

we've always had too many bowling options, which is fine if a plan B is required, but not fine if it just leads to muddled thinking....... which it often does
