It’s been a good fight back this afternoon. I think we simply didn’t bowl very well this morning, with 6 falling this afternoon, although some of the Notts players were guilty of throwing it away a bit

I still think the driving thought behind not batting was that we didn’t want to hand a green top and a new nut to Mo Abbas

Clearly we are bowling Carse according to England instructions. A 4 over spell in the morning and 5 more in the afternoon. It’s like having half a player against the top team this season. Very annoying

It's frustrating that we are throwing away all the good work of this afternoon

it's nearly 5.30 and there are still 18 overs to be bowled. At this rate they'll get their 3rd batting point, lose 2 wickets bang, bang and there'll still be time for Abbas to pick up a 5fer before the close

well, I wasn't expecting that

somehow the women scrambled their way to 124-9 which Somerset could only equal for a tie and a super over........ which Durham won, restricting Somerset to 8-2 before Bess Heath knocked them off in 3 balls

at 83-6 after 14 overs, I had resigned myself to being knocked out at the first time of asking

we won't get to see the QF, sadly, because we're hosting Somerset men that weekend

maybe Old Marcus will try and get it played at South North if we get a home draw for next Saturday

Excellent innings. A decent day for us but felt we could have been a bit more proactive after lunch. Innings seemed to almost grind to a halt.
