Also agree about it being annoying to have the 4 day games reduced. I think it was Alec Stewart who said that if you reduced the games and then have a game or two ruined by the weather it could ruin the season


Other odd story today was Eoin Morgan suggesting Ben Stokes should be England ODI captain for the major tournaments with someone else doing the rest of the games! Seems like an unworkable idea to me - for starters it'd be an insult to his deputy because it'd be obvious that whoever it is isn't considered good enough to handle the important games.
Best way to revive the ODI side is to have a proper domestic competition again.

It sounds like another overly complicated idea. Would also send a signal to the punters that they don't regard certain games/series as being important.

According to Campbell, there is zero expectation of Stokes appearing in the early rounds. He's still recovering from his surgery and focused on being fit enough for the test series
