Disappointing to see the lack of endeavour from the Pakistan batters. They applied very little pressure on the field. (I did not see the last 10 overs or so).
Sure, not this game (for reasons) but this is your home tournament, very disappointing show of intent.

My disappointment with them is even feeling a little cynical.

Its almost like Pakistan's selectors haven't watched ODI cricket in decades. Maybe having a decent bowling attacks and competent bats who usually stay in a while works against average sides, but the odds of beating 3-4 good sides to take a major tournament are almost non-existent when your opposition is bringing straight up firepower to the table. Reminds me a little of England under Flower - they couldn't beat teams that bat well very often.

To win a tournament like this, I think you need at least 3 aggressive top order players with at least 1 or 2 that can go truly nuclear. Having no one in the top order who goes over 90SR basically means your bowling attack needs to be flat out wondermakers.

Look at the championship winning sides of the past - Jayasuriya, Gilchrist, Mark Waugh, Warner, Finch, Watson, Bairstow, Roy, Rohit, Sehwag, Head..... all of these players will win you the game if they bat 80-100 plus balls.

If Pakistans top 100 stay in for a 100 balls, they are probably well on their way to under 300.
