I am releasing both James Vince and Mitch Marsh.

Vince is top scorer in 24. Has he retired?

I tend to ditch both my players.....I think it's quite rare to do well back to back.

I also can't envisage him playing as much as he did this year injury free.

In the random pull of names the order for this year's draft will be:

Taking on feedback from last year's draw we will say that those who have retained a player have that as their first pick which means Sussex will be at no disadvanatgge if we do the first rounf of picks.

RDJ has retained Jadeja and DD has retained Head meaning that they skip the first round.

Andy has the first choice of any non-retained player and plumps for Babar Azam, just released by Red. This will be Azam's 6th successive year in the List.

The Prof Sr. retains Athapaththu so we can ignore him.

Red Devil, winner from 2023, starts with a blank roster and selects his first choice of Liam Livingstone...a newcomer to our List.

Red Twins have held onto Buttler hoping for a less injury ravenegd year.

DFM has released Simon Harmer this year, the last of the original crop of players. He replaces him with another County Championship stallwart - Liam Dawson.

GP also released both players and gets his first choice pick Anabel Sutherland - our second female player.

MIB has kept the Indian wunderkind Jaiswal and therefore skips Round 1.

I have discarded both my players and have reselected Jasprit Bumrah - absent from the List for 3 years.

Round 1 finishes with the retention of Salt and Brook by Arhur and Sussex.

It's time for the 2025 Auction!

A quick reminder of the process:

Firstly we could do with some more players so even if you weren't part of it this year, chuck your hat in the ring

* Player Retention: As an existing player, you may retain one player from your 2024 team.
* Player Release: You can release all of your 2024 players.
* Player Draft: You'll need to draft two players for your 2025 team....but we may extend to three should there not be enough interest

Please let us know by 27th Dec if you:
* Plan to participate in the 2025 auction.
* Want to retain one of your 2024 players.

Drafting Your Team:
* Player Selection: Create a list of six players, ranked by preference. You may select any active cricketer, regardless of their league or format.
* Submission Deadline: Please send your list to me via private message by 27th Dec.

Team Selection:
* Random Selection: We'll randomly select participants from the interested pool to decide the order of selection
* Delegate Assignment: Based on your player lists, we'll assign your players accordingly in order of availability.

Scoring System:
* Global Cricket: Points will be awarded for performance in all cricket formats, worldwide.
Fair Play and Transparency.

As in previous years, our esteemed Independent Adjudicator, DFM, will receive my list to ensure fairness and transparency.
