Is there such a thing as Too Much Test Cricket ? Confess I have only watched this Sri Lankan innings spasmodically...13 hours solid NZ and Australia and thought I had better dial it back a little :)

The tourists have made a pretty good start chasing that handy SA total. Might be a close game ?

I was wondering where in South Africa "Gqeburha" was.... Port Elizabeth. Apparently the name changed in 2021... never knew.

SL starting nicely.

Because of playing hours, I've been watching this one.

I watch the highlights of the other two.

Sri Lanka 328 all out

Nissanka 89
Kamindu 48
Chandimal 44
Matthews 44

Patterson 5-71

I love the new name Gqeberha!

Ryan out LBW on backfoot playing a ball from Prabath Jayasuriya that stayed low and hit on the back leg. Hardly bounced a foot . Plumb and not reviewed by Ryan Rickleton.

SA 109/3.

Inform Temba marks the guard.

You've got a lot of cricket on at the moment Adi!

Looks like SA are gaining control.

Dhananjaya De Silva has a silly point for Prabath but should have tried having a Forward short leg as well. Prabhath is in his 19th over without break, bowling tidy and so expect him to create a chance by keeping close-in fielders. Atleast could have tried for two overs.

Six. Temba steps out of the crase and tonks it over mid-off. Finally breaking the shackles. Well connected. :clap

SA 175/3

Certainly lot of cricket Arthur, missed 2 sessions of the NZ -Eng test because of the timings and third session because I was watching India-Australia. Certainly SA are favorites now imo. Leading by 211, 3 down and Marco batting at 8. Long batting lineup. I guess even a collapse won't help SL now.

Stumps Day 3.

A good 3rd session of the day for SA. 115 runs scored and lost 2 wickets. Prabath bowled 19 overs off the 36 bowled on the go without a break in the 3rd session.

The runs were kept down, but SA have all the time in this match to bat slowly and ensure a platform is there to post a good target for SL. Temba has carried his good form into this innings as well - 2 runs away from posting his 4th consecutive 50.

SA lead by 221 . Looking in a very good position to win this match.
