match report says Burns dropped just after play started. Patel dropped on 19 and again on 70. Tom Curran nicked off twice and was put down in the slips and of course, the calamitous missed run out last night. Burns ended up on 55, Patel on 134 and Curran tied up an end for an hour and a half for his 22

the report does say that Burns was out to 'a magnificent delivery' from Holder, and certainly his figures today were eminently creditable

Can excuse inexperienced bowlers performing inconsistently but not all of those fielding blunders. Could well have cost us a chance to pull off a shock win.

It does sound as though he bowled really well without any luck at all. Maybe he'll get his just rewards in the last innings if we can find a way to make Surrey bat again

Hopefully. Pleased for him, was probably feeling a bit lost until he found his rhythm. I don't know how we compare with other teams but it feels as if we drop a fair few catches- and often catch the half chances and drop the straightforward ones!
