A bit unfortunate that this is another rather one sided Test... though hardly unexpected. Sri Lanka choosing to send England in didn't help their cause either !
But a nice stage on which Root could perform to his best as he breaks a couple of records
Class apart among England batsmen these last dozen years. Atkinson didn't do too badly with the bat either - looking a handy addition to the team all round ; though we should probably wait until he encounters better opposition before canonizing him.
Expect things to be all wrapped up some time Sunday ; time for some golf for the lads (just make sure no one trips over and breaks a leg , eh ?)
