I'm leaning towards Potts on the basis that he has test experience, but if this is about building towards the ashes I wouldn't be at all surprised if they went with Pennington

Crawley, Duckett, Pope, Root, Brook, Stokes (c), Smith (wk), Woakes, Atkinson, Wood, Bashir.

I was hoping for Pennington as well but must be going to open with Woakes and Wood.

At TB
Woakes (1) 4 wickets at 31.00
Wood (2) 4 wickets at 52.75
Stokes (5) 16 wickets at 34.81

Anderson (12) 73 wickets at 19.23

Bit surprising I thought but guess they reckon West Indies look troubled by pace on that Lord's showing so want to kill off the series now...expect if they do so the third Test will see both Potts and Pennington tried out. Obviously going to be a fair bit of rotation across this and the Sri Lanka series so imagine all will get a go at some point.

Joseph gets Crawley out straight away... Duckett responds in the Duckett way, taking 18 off Seales first over...

I think this is more about Windies not wanting to the lose the test in a session or two like last time. Hope to get England out for 250-300 and have a target to bat towards.

England reach 50 in 26 balls... the fastest first 50 ever recorded in test history.

Windies taking an absolute pasting these last few overs.

Not even a tough chance, is it. Think it was Holder.... very poor effort. Would have been a huge breakthrough.....

Harry Brook resumes his normal service. Batting like its the T20I final

Loving that. Brook edges one, and Sinclair celebrates by doing a double somersault :lmao

Stokes could really do with a score here.

Sinclair seems to be doing a job. Keeping the runs down, and now a wicket.
