I didn't spot the extras

25 is an astonishing number in a 20 over game

Giving them more than an extra run and ball an over. Although Lancs gave 17 away and it was dry when they bowled.
Think conditions were a factor but the spinners saved us - seamer all over the place and not for the first time.

We must be the only team who could score 220, beat the league leaders and still have worries going forward !
On the YouTube channel post match they were describing it as a sensational triumph- more of a blessed relief imo!

Two things stand out for me - Robinson faced one ball and hit it for 4 and then the remarkable catch by Coughlin off his own bowling. At the time they seemed as if they probably wouldn't influence the result....but the final margin was 2 runs.

One other massive positive is Clark remembering how to bat. Thought he looked set for a century today and did very well yesterday too

I perhaps haven't given Coggers the credit he perhaps deserves. The headline is that he had 21 to defend off his final over and he nearly didn't do it, but having been spanked for 2 sixes off the first 2 balls, he could easily have thrown it away. Instead he bowled his man with the 3rd ball and then with the penultimate ball going for four and 4 needed for the win he could have let nerves get the better of him, but didn't. By contrast, international bowler Potts bowled a 9 ball over in his final over and Coggers didn't do that

according to crapinfo, 434 is the highest aggregate score between Durham and Lancs in T20

an unsurprising stat, I suppose, given that we normally only contribute about 120 runs to these aggregate scores

Yes, held his nerve well because I thought we were done for after the first 2 balls. That over from Potts was disastrous- wet ball a factor presumably bit still poor scoreboard almost ran out of space because there were so many deliveries!
Ash Thorpe talking about the win maybe heralding the start of fortress Riverside. We'll see about that!

I guess they think we need Turner's batting. Not today though and odd that he only bowled the one over. Injury to Ackermann complicates things.
