The hosts really do look a class above at the moment. Only worry is if they are leaving all their best days in the qualifiers and saving the one bad match every team seems to have for the finals.

Big game next with Afghanistan looking to get on terms with NZ and Pakistan (and just conceivably Australia) with two rounds to play. Netherlands might not be a pushover though , and the Afghans really need to up their NRR. Further snag for them is they still have to play Australia and SA - but whatever happens from here on I think they've enhanced their reputation.

Huge for Afghanistan. Still a lot to do, but they are in the mix.

England still not mathematically out of it, but will be if New Zealand beat Pakistan. That result would also knock out Pakistan themselves, and end the last mathematical hope Netherlands and Sri Lanka have too. Would also put New Zealand within touching distance of qualifying, given Australia and Afghanistan are still to play one another.

On the other hand, a Pakistan win puts them right in the mix and leaves New Zealand's fate out of their hands...
