England scoring at about a run a minute today. Taking their time.

Duckett to 100 off 106 balls....

Pope to 50 off 60 balls....

England rocketing along at 6 an over.

Ireland need to magic up some wickets, or this could be a very depressing few hours. At this rate England will be passed 300 at lunch...

Hope England don't go into psychological disintegration mode. Should declare when they have enough.

Not sure the ECB would like England declaring on Day 2 with a 300 lead when the weather forecast is for Soleil, Soleil, Soleil... and a lot of advanced purchased tickets for day 4 to refund. Plus, a few average/confidence boosting innings might do some good for the summer.

Crawley's 56 looking like abject failure at the moment.

Mind you, if they keep batting at over a run a ball, the lead could be more like 500 by 6.30pm..... assuming they can last all day

Also, at the moment one gets the feeling this is less bazball, and more just reacting to some filthy bowling. Duckett has gone after maybe a couple that were just a little out of his reach, and had one edge die before gully, but I dont get the sense England are really manufacturing the scoring rate too much.

England slowed down a little, but still on for 300 at lunch.

173/0 in 29 overs.... a total bloodbath of a session.

I mean, I say it with increased seriousness...... records are potentially in play, if England are so inclined. Ireland's bowlers at the moment look vastly out of their depth.

I get that there might be commercial reasons to bat for as long as possible. But if this Enland side casts itself as an attacking force, then they should move the match forwards when and as soon as they can.

And do they really want to be the people that humiliates Ireland pointlessly.

200+ partnership for Ollie and Little Ben.

An England ODI side wouldn't have scored this many in the days of 60 overs limited overs. Though might have got close v this attack.

Hume bowls Duckett for 182.... wonder if Ireland can get a little fightback going now. 362/2

There are plenty of England players (Root, Stokes, Brook, Bairstow) who have barely scored a run in anger since the NZ tour, so they'll just bat themselves into readiness for the ashes, presumably
