well this is Yorkshire and the ECB, so you might be right and this could be a welcome step on the road to promotion

everything has gone very, very quiet on the matter, so I'm reluctant to assume anything with regard to sanctions

It wouldn't surprise me one little bit to find that the punishment and its exact size is decided at the back end of the season, once it's a bit more clear how big a lead Yorks will have at the top of div 2
