Yes, they did well in tricky conditions. A shame about that 3-0 wobble but perhaps excusable due to gloomy conditions and the new ball. Having been put in I think it has been a good day for us.

For him it makes total sense. Without Kolpak nowadays, he has to be registered as an overseas player anyway, so being capped internationally and failing wont make a difference to his status at Durham. Obviously you want to see talented players get to play at the top level too...although one gets the sense his defection really pee'd off a lot of people in South African cricket, so whether or not they will forgive him and be prepared to consider him selectable is another thing.

In a selfish way, I guess Durham wont mind if he is ignored.
