the tinker in me wonders if Australia were trying to keep Bangladesh hopes alive for the last 2 games by not screwing them on the NRR and maybe put a bit of extra pressure on SL or SA. I don't know why they would bother to do that, but they didn't put the pedal to the metal with either ball or bat. It looks to have been a somewhat surprisingly low key 'safety first' performance

England ease past India in the 'Avoid Australia Stakes', despite Katherine S-B's best efforts to throw it all away. Just as well that England left India 31 to get off the last over, because if it had been 19 she'd have blown it. 39 runs off her 3.... phoof.... won't get away with that against the Aussies

Somehow despite 3 from 3, England could still fail to qualify. They'd need to lose very heavily to Pakistan, India to thrash Ireland and Pakistan to beat West Indies, given England have the best NRR in the group, but it could happen.

They will go through top if they avoid that scenario, and avoid Australia, who even without Healy have cruised past SA and become the first team to qualify for finals. No surprise. Hard to see them not winning the tournament, but T20 upsets happen....

NZ finally remember how to play cricket. On course for a big win over SL to keep their and SA hopes alive. Given the NRR it won't be enough though.

And West Indies squeak by Pakistan, securing England's progress as they do it. In theory both teams are still alive, but are relying on India losing to Ireland...

6 more runs or one less wicket would have done the job for them though, so it could easily have gone the other way. India will be grateful that it didn't. Their score would almost certainly have been too much for Ireland, so a fair result in the end

England Pakistan now nearly a dead rubber. England just need to avoid a thrashing in order to top the group.

England demolish Pakistan to top the group and avoid Australia, while South Africa are on course for a comfortable win v Bangladesh.

Another Australia England final seems most likely, although SA do seem to be hitting their stride at the right time and are at home...

England should be favourites, and rightly so. But T20 is seldom a foregone conclusion (except when Australia are playing).
