Wessels had his off stump uprooted by Rushy and not long later he trapped Barnard in front. Wood contrived to find the edge of Cox while stuttering in his run up and falling over after the delivery, which Poynter gobbled up.

And it hasn't just been a feature of this year. There's a reason why I've spent the last few years bashing on about getting a decent spinner. We haven't had one since Blackwell. The option of having 2 overseas players this year gave us the ideal opportunity to bring someone in. Hopefully Bedders will get his passport sorted out before next year, but even if he did I'd be prepared to bet that we'd bring in 2 batsmen.

I think Rushy has just equalled Bunny's record by taking the final wicket, but there seems to be so much confusion over FC/CC/BWT/Champion match wickets that it's hard to be sure
