No white smoke reported from the media center Windows as yet. North was reported though as having a book of raffle tickets in his hand as he arrived this morning :scared

:lmao Don't think they were queuing up to do the job at the start of the season...maybe Poynter will volunteer? :scared

I've heard Jeremy Corbyn is keen to be a leader.

:lmao :clap

not sure there'd be too many singles taken

Clarkey prefers doubles and lots of them, so Harriet would be unlikely to keep up

Might have to rethink though. Lot more expensive in Sticky wicket than in the House of Commons bar.

Yes! If it's a typo it is a strange one.
Excellent to extend his contract and a wise choice as captain.

am I missing something or have they corrected said typo?

Obvious choice and the right move. He deserves all of it after his start to his Durham career

(JJB would have given it to Poynter and signed him as our overseas player for the next 2 seasons)

Yes, they've corrected the typo! I wonder if Poynter will stay in charge of the T20 side? Probably will, if Eckersley was to come in and captain it would just raise the question of why he hadn't been in from the start.

Durham bringing together a very unsuccessful Leics team? Isn't that Raine, Robson and Eckersley that came from there?
I always say that everybody's right.

Yes but if Robson proves a shrewd a signing as other rejects Lees and Eckersley there'll be no complaints. Win, win situation signing Robson only until end of season.

Suppose it's also a consequence of the dreaded sanctions. Losing so many players as a result- and then Colly retiring - left us short on experience and quality so we had to look to bring players in.
