I'd be surprised if he doesn't play.

Surely he is unselectable after this display

I still can not get my head around picking Wade as a batman. He was in form, but seriously.

Definitely not in for his bowling after what I saw on Friday!

Umpire: 'What variety Mr. Wade?'
Wade: 'Right arm filth/rubbish/pies' (delete as applicable)

Thats the foot in the door for England.

Head with another handy 50, but Australia really needed more from him.

Woakes hasn't bowled all morning. Presumably he's injured but nothing has been said.

Will Broad be kept for the new ball, even though it's some way off?

If injured, then a huge blow for England.

Waiting 20 overs could mean that England are out the game. Im guessing 5 overs after tea...then back for the new ball.

England being another bowler down is a huge bonus for Australia. Just need to bat time...

Time is running out of the game too. Another session and Australia are playing with the overs left and bringing a draw into view. It seems not to be too hard to bat at the moment.

Once Australia survived intact the first hour today they became firm favourites in my view. In fairness to England losing Anderson and then Woakes being apparently unready to bowl this morning gave them a near impossible task..they really don't have an adequate spin option with Moeen so out of sorts.
Even so I don't think they've bowled well in this innings. Bit too impatient ...though you must credit Australia for their very positive approach , especially after losing the openers cheaply .

And having Smith helps a bit :)

Think any chance England had is long gone. Can only hope the weather , a delayed declaration , and/or some unusual defiance tomorrow can salvage a draw. Aussies might fancy a win at Fortress Edgbaston will give them one hand on the Ashes. May not be quite that simple ; but going to put a lot of pressure back on Root and his boys.

It has been an enthralling test match, surely a few more twists to come.
