He was captain because Pakistan had no better options. He has fitness issues as he put on noticeable weight which affected his performance. Didn't lead the team with his performances. Keeps on shouting at his players whenever there is a fiekding mistake.. Then came the racist comments in SA series. The defeat to India was final blow imo. We will know soon once WC is over and they announce squad for ODI series. Even Mickey Arthur and Inzi might be sacked as well. IK also mentione din his retweet prior to match that Pak should opt for batting first and avoid selecting "Railu Kattas". Railu Katta is someone who cannot score runs nor take wickets. Something like non performing bits and pieces under performer.

Its very easy to slag the captain off, but its hardly like this is a team thats greatly under performing on the sum of their parts. Its not a great team, and I am not sure what selections they are making that wrong. You can maybe fault the odd one, but the fact is that Pakistan dont have the talent at the moment, and sure as hell dont seem like a team that can stand up to the likes of India.
The situation never seems that healthy with cricket in the country, its been dysfunctional at best for years, so pinning the blame on Sarfraz seems a bit rich. They did win the CT in 2017 by beating the best two teams in the world, and that in hindsight was an achievement that Sarfraz should get a lot of respect for.
