Stoneman and Malan showing something in this series.

I still doubt Vince is gonna make it.

He just can't resist that flash outside off , can he ? Pity ; as he's lovely to watch when he connects properly. But he's never a Test number three ...at best a five ; and I suspect he won't win that spot either.

The more I look at this England lineup the more I think three is the ultimate key that might lock the rest in place successfully (with or without Stokes). No solution on this trip ; but I've hopes for Hameed yet...

England's ODI squad.

Eoin Morgan (capt), Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Jake Ball, Sam Billings, Jos Buttler, Tom Curran, Alex Hales, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, David Willey, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood.

On recent form, England may have a better chance in this.

Wood is back (and Stokes).
I always say that everybody's right.

Tour match at Perth.

Moeen Ali (c)
Jake Ball
Gary Ballance
Mason Crane
Tom Curran
Ben Duckett
Ben Foakes+
Keaton Jennings
Dan Lawrence
Jack Leach
Liam Livingstone
Mark Wood

Is this an audition for the 3rd Test? Vince and the other batsmen need match practice.

Stokes i doubt will play any part in series, and i don't think Hales will start the series in the side either..

For Perth I would go
1 Cook
2 Stoneman
3 Malan
4 Root
5 Bairstow
6 Foakes
7 Ali
8 Woakes
9 Overton
10 Broad
11 Anderson

or to mix it up
Cook
Lawrence
Livingstone
Root
Bairstow
Woakes
Overton
Wood
Broad
Bess (bat 19.86 bowl 22.59)
Anderson. lol - We should get some wickets and runs with those 6 bowlers

Pretty hard on Hales is he loses his opening spot, as Bayliss is saying he will.

Didnt he kick a guy on that video, or throw a punch as well?

Didn't see it. He wasn't charged and he's in the squad so I was just judging on playing merit.

If he's got a case to answer with the ECB, he shouldn't be in the squad.

Yes, it would be bizarre to pick him and punish him by not playing him
