Admittedly in a decent summer so far this tournament has coincided with a poor spell of weather but up to we've had some very good games helped by the conditions more than hindered.

they can afford to lose 75 minutes of play before they lose any overs

if it does come down to D/L we are screwed as losing 3 very early wickets will really penalise you on D/L

they were in a pretty bad position against NZ when the rain intervened so its not all been negative for them

Yep they were in big trouble against NZ and could have easily lost so the two points they currently have is probably a fair reflection.

That is true. But if the rain were to wash this one away too and their hopes with it , then I think they'd have a right to feel aggrieved.

Having said that they still have work to do to overcome England here : despite the early wickets , the run rate is fine...and England do bat deep.

Hopefully there won't be too much more of this "intermittent " rain to spoil the game...

Fine aggressive batting from these two ; got the score up ahead of the Duckworth-Lewis requirement before the twenty overs , though more wickets could cruel that. May be important as I hear there is more rain around later ?
