I've come to the conclusion that all T20 pitches should be prepared that way. Far better to have sides mullering the ball to all parts than fiddling about trying to ind some way to nurdle the ball off the square.

DDB pretty much something needs to be done about chasing, even the betting companies have woken up to the advantage of it in all situations in T20 games.
remember someone saying chasing last year in t20 could be worth around 20 runs which is a huge advantage.
this year you will find betting companies not even bothering to price games properly before the toss these days if the game is close and instead wait for the toss before it changes the price.
god knows how many games I saw last week where the price changed massively after a toss, wasn't the norm before.

not been a great tournament so far by the England players

Morgan only had a couple of games and been poor
Mills no longer a first choice for RCB
Roy now dropped by Gujarat
Woakes has played every game but been pretty expensive
Billings has done reasonably well without being outstanding
Buttler has been a bit hit or miss but averaging 30+ with a s/r of 150+
Stokes has been a bit underwhelming, surprisingly his best contribution has been his economy rate as a bowler
