As one Arsenal fan said, at least Utd and Liverpool are trying to address their problems.

probably didn't affect the result but what a farce from the middlesbrough defence for that 3rd goal

arsenal down to 6th now and level on points with everton altho they do have games in hand

with reports suggesting no sanchez for the rest of the season and a tough-ish looking run in they are going to have to do something quick to even be in the Europa League next year, let alone the CL

With Utd winning the LC, and either Chelsea/Arsenal/City/Spurs winning the FA Cup, 6th and 7th will qualify for the EL. So Arsenal - and indeed the whole top 7 - are fine on the front.

forgot about the cup places and it covering the top 7

not sure a Europa League spot would make that much of a difference to Wenger's position tho, even scraping top 4 again shouldn't be enough for him

with the international break coming up i expect we will know one way or the other by the time the next games come around

If United finish 5th in the league but win the Europa Cup, then will the premier league have 5 teams in the champions league next year?

Everton are having a good season, just about keeping in touch with the top 4. :salute

I'm not sure if that happened before and someone had to drop out? Might be wrong though.

Yes. But no extra EL space (ie 8th won't benefit). It will just go from 4 CL and 3 EL, to 5 CL and 2 EL.

Dembele always dominates the midfield against us. And on the rare occasion that we can get past him, we come up against Spurs' three CBs.

that looks a little bit of a soft penalty for liverpool

clichy foot was high admittedly but he did get the ball and firmino just fell over

Probably the least likely penalty of the match so far. So many talking points from this match. Like how is Yaha still on the pitch, and how did Sterling not get a penalty.

man city have looked poor today

just getting over-run in the middle of the pitch too often, as per the monaco game i'm not sure this formation with 4 very attacking midfielders and just one central midfielder is working

Out of Europe and on shaky ground for a top 4 finish in the league, Pep might have to try something different.....
