We can't even use the toss as an excuse in this series.

Thoroughly outplayed in every department, especially bowling.

No point in touring the sub continent again until we get a test quality spinner in the side.

Vijay as opener has been sensational giving good contributions and making it easy for later batters. He has converted starts into 100's.

Chet too has been consistent.

Cheeku has been the best batsman of series.

Ash, Jaddu and Jayant have played significant knocks here and there.

This batting lineup has made 400 plus 3 times in first innings and 631 in 4th test which is awesome batting.

Sort the first innings / lead well and things become lot easier.

Bowl like that on any surface, to any line up, and you'll struggle. A pathetic effort today from england

When is Indias next away test, and where is it?

I know they still have at least 6 more tests at home.

But its time for them to travel to see how good they actually are. Get rid of the lingering questions.

Are they a great team in the making, or are they the same as every other test nation going around at the moment. Great at home and hopeless away. (Except SA who won in Australia;))

Sri Lanka next August.
You probably not been watching they were in West Indies couple of months ago and last year were in Sri Lanka.

Quite funny how SA beating Australia counts as an away victory but India beating Sri Lanka 2-1 doesn't.
Or them only losing 2 test in the last 22 test.

No i watched in WI, thanks for asking.

Thanks for answering the question with SL though.

So When are India next playing in SA, Aus, NZ or England? Playing SL in similar conditions will not be to much of a test.

Cheers.

Would you agree that for this team to be considered a great team it will need to win at least 2 of those series?

Isn't that the same thing for SA then not much of a test beating Australia in Australia for them.

Don't think anyone calling this side great, also doubt they will win 2 of the series.
They could beat nz, SA could be won on politics. England tough to call and I reckon Australia would be a close loss.

I expect India to competitive considering with kohli in charge they won't give up like dhomi did.
Plus kohli got some decent playErs in his side.

I would say due to similar conditions that India beating SL in SL is similar to SA beating Aus in Aus.

Great to get the away win, but there are much tougher away series out there for those teams.

Anyway i moved the topic away from this test match. Sorry chaps.
