ali missed a straight one that just hit pad first

TBH it is usually the straight ball that get the wickets in india especially when the ball turning a bit.
tough pitch to bat for england when the ball turning 3 ways from the same part of the pitch, could probably argue the ball behaving 4 ways differently with the variable bounce.
Still think a good team should get 250 here, batting not been so hard with root scoring a quick 50.
But really only Root or Cook look capable of scoring here, the rest will struggle to get singles.
