I know, I was using this as a drill for WWIII..... but there isnt a smilie for moving to Costa Rica.

:)

Premonition of Mishra batting proves a transient reality. I was expecting him to get a hundred, so good to get him early.

Haseeb takes his first Test catch, and then another.

Spin is rampant.

Going to give you credit for getting Mishra with a brilliant jinx , Arthur. :salute

Get some rest now and make sure you can do something about Kohli and Rahane in the morning , OK ?

But still one of the excellent Indian lower order bats. Better to draw the venom now, rather than risk the sting of the tail later, as Charlie Chan once said.

An early wicket tomorrow and a significant lead is on the cards.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

A good test for batsmen but not for bowlers.

Two key batters in tomorrow. So get them early and England will sense an opportunity. But no real reason to expect they will be got early.

And India beat the Aussies in a similar manner, not long before. These two instances were both in Australia, so it could never happen here!

Maybe if england were quicker with the overs they might have had more overs at Kohli and Rahane at the end of the days play.
be interesting to see what happens now because the break will suit india more than england especially with the due and moisture making the ball softer tomorrow, should make batting easier in the first session.

so you are wrong alfie.

Can't remember too many days they - or anyone - bowl 93 in a day. But that is not the point , is it ? I suspect all teams - including India - sometimes go slower than they need to be. Sometimes it is tactical ; sometimes happenstance.

My point was about your over aggressive style of arguing the matter. It really isn't necessary ; and it makes you less fun to discuss with ...which is a pity , as you clearly have a strong interest in the game .

Up to you . But I think we might all enjoy debate with a little less acrimony... Or to put it another way : nobody loves a smart-arse.

A wet ground drying can allow for swing, as Hoggy found once (in Nagpur I think).

Don't think the scoring been quick enough, in Adelaide team were scoring 4 or 5 runs an over.
india team could barely manage 3 runs an over.
for india to get 500 it will take most of tomorrow play, not sure 4 session is enough for 10 wickets and then a run chase.
suspect india best chance of winning might be to concede a small lead and then destroy england with the ball in the 3rd innings.
with those 2 wickets makes it hard to see india getting 600 + to get a lead but lucky for them they still got batting to come so probably at worse going to concede a 120-130 deficit and you expect england to bat till they get 300-350.
so draw still very likely to happen.

looking at the way the game going suspect india will be all out around 500, but that prediction mostly depends on how england bowl tomorrow and how well india bat tomorrow.
