This is ok for Yorks. Getting the batters to start again tomorrow still a few behind isn't a bad position.

Selvey in the Guardian is saying that this is 'unwinnable' for Middx!

So Middx are actually batting for a draw!

Middlesex have enough overs and wickets to set Yorkshire a challenging chase, get above 200 and let pressure do the rest.

A fantastic servant to County Cricket :salute

His ilk of playing a full seasons cricket overseas for half a career won't be seen again.

The Ageas Bowl and Old Trafford are Test venues as well..........

Yes I know they are but The Ageas bowl is not a BIG test venue and at the time of posting Warwickshire seemed more likely to go down than Lancashire.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Around 6-8 overs before tea if Middlesex play it right. Score 100 runs in the morning session for a 60 run lead, add 180 for most of the afternoon session. Set Yorkshire 230 off 40 on a slow pitch, good luck gents.

Agree with that budget.

Lancs 3 down and over 300 behind.......looking a bit brighter for hope?
