Yes, I guess it answers my earlier question that the earliest time lunch can be taken is 12pm.

Yeah, it's not a question which I knew the answer to, but I guess it makes some sense. Afterall, it is "lunch".

Fortunately not only has it stopped raining here now, but there's a lot of blue sky too! Looks like we're still on for at 12.40 start.

It'll be interesting who we open with. I'm not sure if we took the new ball last night or not. I'm guessing we didn't. But even if we did, then at most it's only three overs old. And it's been raining this morning. And these two batsmen have seemed to deal OK with our spinners. And McLaren only has five overs in his legs. So all of that leads to opening with seam. But the pitch is turning, and in theory (although very unlikely I would suggest) we could yet find ourselves bowling again very soon afterwards, if these last three fall in no time (which you would prefer to do with seamers who are as fresh as possible).

Plus there's the issues of Dawson cut hand and Crane's economy.

Always amusing when Kevan James doesn't realise the microphone is switched on!

4 overs, 4'maidens, plenty of near misses, but more importantly no wickets yet

Why isn't this pitch deteriorating, or has it just been poor bowling for the last 30 plus overs?

Another annoying partnership building.

I take it this pitch is still pretty good for batting.

I guess losing Topley and Edwards at the start of the season has left us with a poor bowling attack.

It's times like these when you realise how poor. Crane has got one more innings to show whether he should be anywhere near the first team next season.

Starting to look quite bleak now. Someone is going to have to play a heck of an innings with the bat for us, to give us a chance to defend any sort of decent score.

They're scoring off every ball now, we'll never get 12 wickets by end of play tomorrow.

Just outright annoying now, why haven't we produced a proper 'result' wicket???

We haven't got a good enough bowling attack to exploit half decent conditions even if they're on offer.

The Rose bowl pitch is essentially a road and must be quite difficult to doctor without cheating.
