CC Rule 16.2.2 says they can make up to 30 minutes at the end of Days 1,2,3.

Cheers Haggis, not enough!

Looks like Warwickshire are slowly getting the upper hand in their game so we've essentially got to win our game now.

It'll be interesting how Warks play. Do they just bat and bat and bat, until they get bowled out - with half an eye on the fact that that the rain here is frustrating us, and hence a draw could well be enough for them. Or do they look to up the tempo at some point, and declare shortly before the close? Or do they do something in between, and leave it until half an hour or an hour into tomorrow to declare (if not already bowled out) to most likely remove the possibility of losing - afterall, they could shoot themselves right in the foot with an early declaration, if we don't win.

Umpire inspection currently taking place.

12.40 start (with lunch taken early). A two session day, with 16 overs lost.

Just saw that on Twitter, that a pretty decent result, all things considered.

Well for about 10 minutes it was. But it's raining again. It's much heavier here now than it was earlier.

It is a tricky situation for Warwickshire, because at some point they may have to force a win, not easy for Lancs either, although can settle for a draw.

Interesting stuff top and bottom.

Where you are or at the ground?

There's been no more rain here.

Where I am. But that's only a 15 min drive away. It's pretty clockwork usually - whatever weather we get here, hits the Rose Bowl within 20 minutes. Absolutely lashing it down now, and very dark too.

Starting at 12.40. By my calculation 80 overs remaining in day.

We had that, but at 9am for an hour, nothing since.

I did say after that Yorkshire draw that our fate was somewhat in the hands of the weather gods. When you're putting all your eggs in one basket, there's always that risk in cricket that rain has the ultimate say.

Batting looking alot easier around the rest of div one today.

I just try to think that Durham would have put on a hundred runs this morning without the rain but this afternoon they won't!!

Does the 12.40 start mean they're taking lunch early? Unusual display of common sense!

Yes, I guess it answers my earlier question that the earliest time lunch can be taken is 12pm.
