All the talk from Baylis about Rashid was as expected just to give the media something to chew on. As I said earlier Cook would never have allowed a team change after that Edgbaston result.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

All the papers agree that Hales needs a century and Hales himself concurs. In fact what he needs is to overcome his weakness on off stump. If he does that the runs will come. On the docile Edgbaston pitch he managed for a long time to look the part but the following morning he succumbed rather quickly. Every batsman is vulnerable around his off stump but the good ones manage to score runs despite it, Hales and Vince need to learn how it's done.

It's likely that Yasir Shah will be a greater threat at the Oval, it will be good practice for the batsmen if that's the case.

No surprise Nasser hussain gives better analysis and read the game better than Botham.

Not sure why their spending ages discussing Pakistan bowling on day 4, they lost the game because of the batting on day 5 not because of the bowling.

Nasser is completely wrong in his analysis which is surprising because normally he's better than most.

How is he wrong, how could Pakistan attack for long with 2 and half bowlers? They didn't lose because of the bowling their lost because of the batting.

Really would love to know how Botham would have gotten 10 wickets on that wicket.
Suspect he would be lost of ideas.

Grey sky and green pitch, according to cricinfo.

Changes likely for Pakistan.

They've been a pleasure to have over this summer.

Beefy was the luckiest bowler I ever saw. He would have found a way!

Wasn't a good captain though so would probably lost it when the other bowlers couldn't take wickets or look threatening on it.

England bat. So should be an advantage of bowling last, unless they get knocked over this morning. They put the Aussies in last summer, and lost by an innings.

England batting first probably the right decision.

Never saw him captain. He was a have a go Cricketer, which isn't ideal for a captain.
