Squeeky bum time for the Yorkies at 63-4 still 108 behind.

Rayner's figures currently read 8 5 4 1. An economy of 0.50

Yorkshire 5 wickets down for 94 runs, still behind by 77 with 45 overs to go.

Either Middlesex are bowling out of their skins or Yorkshire are being negative with the bat.

Batting flops again. Well done to the Middx bowlers though.

It was the Roland-Jones and Murtagh show. !23 run partnership for the 9th wicket then 3 wickets apiece to see off the Yorkshire batting.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Captains place under threat surely. Average 17 without a half century.

Kane Williamson is hugely underwhelming this season. Middlesex played a bit like Yorkshire have done over the last few years.

On such games title hopes depend.

Warwickshire's Boyd Rankin is off the field after only a single over leaving only Clarke and Barker to provide pace as they've gone with the extra spinner in Poysden. Two spinners at Edgbaston is a rare sight but even Hampshire have Crane with Dawson.

Must win game for Yorks today against struggling Surrey.

Sidebottom is in the squad, but then so is Ballance, so cricinfo may be wrong. Not sure why Plunkett and Rashid aren't there either.

Shame the fixture list has disintegrated.

Plunkett, Willey and Rashid are playing, according to the Yorks CCC website. No Sidebottom. Two spinners, four pace bowlers, four batters and a gloves first keeper.

The BBC don't think so as they have deserted them with 5extra having the Warwickshire - Hampshire game.
