Andrew could have had Burnham twice in that over.

Surrey duly lose within three days.

We could yet overtake them this week, and still have a game in hand over them.

Forecast isn't great for tomorrow but I don't have much faith in weather forecasts. The one last night suggested today would be a washout.

If it does deny us the win (not that we will necessary win from here even with no bad weather), then we can hardly complain. Rain has helped us on a fair few occasions this season and last, including just last week. Very rarely, if ever, over these 18 months can I recall it denying us a win (Warks away last season, maybe).

BBC forecast is typically confusing with the graphic and text suggesting different conditions. It looks as if it has been raining throughout the night and is still drizzling now so a delayed start is highly likely.

Two dropped catches?

It's these sorts of situations when we could have really done with Edwards being a decent footballer.

Thanks Captain, may be a bit of humidity when they eventually start could help our bowlers.

In the last hour or so it's changed - sun has come out so we might yet start on time. Depends how much water is on the field.

Going from the latest tweet/picture from the club it looks as if we will start on time. Possibly/probably 2 wickets away from a collapse and Stokes - unpredictable at the best of times - hasn't had much time in the middle.
The lower order are capable but just as likely to get blown away. The follow on looms at some stage unless they bat out of their skins and then it'll be over to Stoneman to try and redeem himself - not getting into arguments with local journalists would be a good start!

Most of the morning session has passed, no wickets lost. This game is a draw.

Yeah I'm bored of Best now. He's hardly taken a wicket for weeks now, which means that his dreadful economy and awfully slow over-rate are no longer bearable.

99% of today's focus is on hoping that Lancs bat out the day against Notts. Whilst their openers have done excellent so far, currently 151-0, they are still 47 runs behind. And Notts have both Broad and Tahir in the attack.

Things will start to look quite bleak for us (although much more so, for Surrey!) if Notts pull a further 11 points clear of us today.

Even if we lose two or three quick wickets, I can't see how it doesn't finish a draw for us today.
