Congrats to Durham and Warwicks on excellent wins.

Must have been some knock from Samit in the circumstances.

All eyes on Somerset and Yorks.

Warks go top, but Lancs and Durham, with a game in hand, are probably in the best spot, early doors.

Worries become manifest that Yorks may not have good enough batting without Bairstow. One of the overseas players turning up for work would be nice.

Brezza will shore things up when he returns. In the meantime the rest of the boys will need to scrap hard to keep themselves in touch until he's back in action

Indeed, if he can get back to his best we'll have one of the best attacks going.

Batting shouldn't be an issue - Lyth and Lees are in decent touch, Ballance is a big score away from getting his season running. If Sunrisers are out of the IPL on Wednesday, Kane Williamson might even be in contention for the Roses.

I just hope Yorkshire have bowling options for Sunday, Sidebottom and Bresnan will be a huge boost.

You must be looking at different averages to the ones I look at A.P.
We're almost a third of the way through the season and there's no one in your top six with an average>34..

More runs for Sam Robson. He's hardly failed this season. 615 runs at over 100. Close to his fourth ton.

Surrey seem to have a different attack playing in every game. Huge, two hundred lead for Lancs on first innings. Great start to the season. I think they'll be going back to the top.

Surrey are atrocious when it comes to utilising their bowling. In the Yorkshire game, Curran and Rampaul bowled 28 out of the 1st 36 overs. Their 3rd (Dunn) and 4th (Burke) bowlers barely got used and soon found themselves out of the attack for bowling below par, probably feeling the pressure because Surrey have something like 13 pace bowlers on the books. Underused bowlers are not going to be effective as player or even for the team, they need a fair run out.

1st impressions of Tom Curran in the flesh, a hostile bowler early doors with shades of Steve Harmison and a definite future England bowler. My fear is he will be flogged by age 25 if Surrey don't change their policy.

Yorkshire 6-2 against Lancs.

Look away.

No Bairstow to come.
