Jordan didnt come back to England, so that was obvious. Footitt didnt play the last game for Surrey, so I imagine he isnt fit anyway? Ballance hasnt played well

True. Vince hasn't been in great form either. Options are limited. Only Robson was knocking on the door.

Division 2. They need to get a first division team.

In division one, three tons for Robson. Two for Jennings (Saffer?) and Tres, and Bairstow.

15/+ wickets for Brooks, Ball and Barker.

If they are looking for early season performances, which is what they said.

Jennings is averaging 102 and Stoneman 84. Condusive conditions for openers in the NE.

The selectors come up but don't seem to be able to see past Stokes.

Both Borthwick and Rushworth had strong cases last season.

Just a fifty for Borthwick this season. Might have been a good time to stand out. Still, hope Vince does well. Such a shame JT isn't there.

Listening to the radio commentaries Steven Finn is fortunate to be in the squad. He's been criticized a lot by the Middlesex commentators. Seems Plunkett has become yesterday's man.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.
