I knew about Nobby Stiles but not about Martin Peters.

I had one of those old leather footballs with the laces when I was a kid. When it was wet it used to double in weight!

I just about remember them. I think a lad in our street had one and we couldn't use it in the wet due to the weight.


Shame about the World Cup lads too. there was a recent documentary on Sky about 1966 and noticed Nobby's son was on as Nobby was poorly. Didn't realise why though.

Rumours that he tweet wasnt him, and that people who went to see him report he is in a coma.

Id ignore it, every story is different at the moment. Some people are saying coma, some dead, some that he didnt have a heart attack and just fainted......
